There were no arrows! Some details are missing, I couldn’t add them for the recent comic convention. When it dries it does this interesting bubbly effect, due to some fancy chemical reactions which I have no idea about! All done spray painting! That’s Lilly, my little dog.
The reason I preferred to spray on this paint, is because when I brushed it on, it would fall into the corners and leave the raised areas white. I used TOA Metallic Silver Acrylic Spray On paint. After both limbs were done, and i put clay for the handle, I taped the bow up to prepare it for spray Painting. I rolled out the clay like dough and applied it. To do this, I kept the outside a little moist until about 24 hours by apply water with a paintbrush.So, to prevent this, I made it to dry slowly from the outside.This is because, as I read, the outside dries faster than the inside.However, when working with clay, a problem that arises is it dries when it cracks: It’s a cheaper brand compared to others, but it dries nicely like stone, and very hard.
He did a very nice job of carving it up!Īfter that, I used a wood varnish which was mixed with polyurethane to stain the bow. I made an enlarged drawing which was to scale, and gave it to him.
